Transition of new puppy and older dachshund
by: Mark

Supervision is important and ensure your adult dog has some quiet time by using a crate or gate as puppies can be very active an annoying.

Your puppy will need to learn to communicate with the older dog rather than just other puppies and this will take at little time.

Dachshunds usually love company if you treat them equally there should not be a problem. Ensure your 4 year has no reason to be jealous spend quality time with both dogs. Perhaps introduce some new toys that both dogs can enjoy.

Best of luck.
