Miniature quantity of dog food
by: Karen D

We have a Mini Dachshund 11 years old going on 12.
We have always fed him 1/4 cup of Little Bites (Purina) - We also feed him 1/2 of a small Milk Bone about 4-5 times a day. He still enjoys a little treat after a walk or he comes in from outside. Our vet recommended this brand and this amount.

Feeding 6 month old Dachshund
by: Jenny

As your dachshund is six months you should be feeding him twice a day and approximately 1.5 cups to 1 cup daily, split over the two meals, it does depend on the puppy food your feeding, so read the guidelines on the label to see what the manufacture recommends. If you find that he does not eat all the food, cut it back a little.

Don't forget if you are feeding dry food have plenty of water available which helps digestion.

Hope this information helps you out.

Regards Jenny
