Grooming longhaired Dachshund
by: Judy

A longhaired Dachshunds coat needs to be brushed and combed regularly to remove any tangles and this also helps with their natural coat oils.

A slicker brush helps to get tangles and mats out, use a detangle spray to make it easier, then finish off with a comb. Don't use clippers on his coat, you can use grooming scissors for trimming.

Remember you have a longhaired Dachshund with a beautiful long coat not a smoothhaired that needs less grooming.

Plan to visit a professional groomer every 6 months or so.
